Harambe for the Holidays includes plenty of witty humor to tell two folktales, including an adaptation of Anansi and the Singing Melon. This year boasts a 1:00pm matinee as well as the usual 6:00pm show.

About the event
In the spirit of unity, Atumpan Edutainment and the Norfolk Public Libraries are partnering with the Hampton Roads Kroc Center and the Virginia Stage Company to bring this year's Harambe for the Holidays show, “Unpack the Elephant's Trunk,” Kwanzaa celebration to Hampton Roads. On December 26th, at the Kroc Center's Perry Family Performing Arts Theatre, this year’s Kwanzaa celebration will feature Corey the Talented Blind Guy’s original stage-play production entitled “Unpack the Elephant's Trunk.” This play blends traditional folklore, songs, music and dance to celebrate the 7 principles of Kwanzaa.
Please bring a non-perishable food item to help the Salvation Army Kroc Center replenish its shelves.
12:30pm Concessions, games, Kwanzaa marketplace, and live entertainment in the Kroc Center main lobby and meeting rooms related to the 7 principles of Kwanzaa
1:00pm Unpack the Elephant's Trunk Stage Play in the Perry Performing Arts Theatre; raffle prizes at beginning and end
2:30pm Greet the cast, enjoy more crafts, games, and marketplace
4:00pm Farewell to cast, new friends, and event staff
