About the event
 Bring your family, community group, or organization to a stage play at the Kroc Center with two tales that build character, entertain, and educate with the production team of Atumpan Edutainment and their community partners at Virginia Stage Company.Â
Harambe for the Holidays: The Moon & The Sun is a show  that includes two traditional folktales, where the forces of nature make it difficult for the characters to get what they want.Â
Marketplace experience included for extended family opportunities with vendors, activities, and food. This means Kwanzaa principles can be expressed in these ways:
- Umoja (Unity): Come together with family and friendsÂ
- Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): Plan to enjoy the activities for all ages
- Ujima (Collective Works & Responsibilities): Donate a non-perishable item
- Ujaama (Cooperative Economics): Support the vendors
- Nia (Purpose): Patronize Atumpan, an arts education organization
- Kuumba (Creativity): Experience an interactive show
- Imani (Faith): Know that the power of the arts is impactful to communityÂ
