About the event
Today's guests are Lois Boyle and Jacki Bruce of Access Virginia. After Syd the Cool Kid gives us our Word On The Street, Lois and Jacki will share 3 ways to make the fine and performing arts engaging for people who are differently abled:
1. Audio description services that narrate movies, stage-plays, and visual arts exhibits for people who are vision impaired.
2. Open captioning services that display typed text of spoken/sung dialogue in live performances like stage-plays and operas for people who are hearing impaired.
3. Acting workshops for those who are vision and hearing impaired.
