MONDAYS SEPTEMBER 9 - DECEMBER 9, 2019: Atumpan Dance Theatre Classes at the Kroc Center in partnership with Virginia Stage Co.(VSC) coaching for actors, world music percussion training, and multi-disciplinary dance ages 8-adult at the Norfolk Kroc Center in conjunction with VSC Public Works
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2019: Annual Dance Workshop African dance, drum and vocal experimentation culminates in a presentation at the Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Center in Hampton, VA.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2019: Annual Theatre/Acting Workshop Improv, theatre techniques and vocal experimentation facilitated by Marlon Hargrave, the Thespian King.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2019: Harambe for the Holidays Kwanzaa Show for school groups and community groups at the Kroc Center's Perry Family Theatre.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2019: Harambe for the Holidays Kwanzaa Show for the general public at the Kroc Center's Perry Family Theatre. Traditional folklore comes to life in an original stage play written by Corey the Talented Blind Guy full of music, songs, dance and characters that celebrate the principles of the season FREE FAMILY FUN
MONDAYS, FEBRUARY - APRIL 2019: Atumpan Dance Theatre Classes at the Kroc Center more coaching for actors, world music percussion training, and multi-disciplinary dance ages 8-adult at the Norfolk Kroc Center as part of their *SPA program *School of Performing Arts
MARCH-JUNE 2020: WorldStrides Tour Season in Williamsburg, VA with edutaining and interactive music history for middle and high school students traveling from the West Coast, Midwest, and Atlantic states of the US.
OCTOBER 2019-JUNE 2020: Festival Season Atumpan Dance Theatre performs original works across the mid-Atlantic region at numerous festivals. Whole foods in rehearsals fuel the team for an energetic season from the Fall Festival of Folklife in Newport News to the Candlelight weekends in New Bern, NC to CaribFest in Norfolk, VA.
SUMMER 2020
SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2019: End of the season Celebration at the Doubletree Hotel in Williamsburg, VA with Atumpan Dance Theatre performing as part of the celebration
SUNDAY, JULY 26, 2019: Christmas in July with Atumpan *Season in review where Atumpan reveals gifts of Season 22; location TBD
