Atumpan Edutainment’s PVC Pipeline for Learning follows the following 3 fundamental principles gained from studying Piaget, Vygotsky, and Chomsky’s theories:

  • Physical manipulation of objects when engaging in activities related to learning.

  • Incorporation of teaching techniques that account for the cultural context in which children are learning.

  • Contacting information a minimum of 7 times using different modalities.

Atumpan Edutainment’s PVC Pipeline for Learning

Atumpan Edutainment has developed the PVC (Piaget, Vygotsky, and Chomsky) Pipeline for Learning.  According to communication theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, and Chomsky, people are ‘hardwired’ for learning—especially for language skills development and literacy acquisition.  The development of these components of human communication occurs as the brain develops and organizes learned information into schemas—patterns for recognition, recall, and application of information.  The PVC methodology, along with the Multiple Intelligences model, and Classical Theatre integration, provides a framework of communication for audiences in corporate settings, conferences, and professional development.

 PVC Pipeline for learning Methodology

Atumpan Edutainment incorporates the aforementioned fundamentals by using world music, folklore, and dance to enhance the educational experience of adults, teens, and children (preK-12th grade).

Participants in a story adventure performance or a hands-on workshop will:

  • Play a variety of percussion instruments to create rhythmic patterns as part of traditional rhythms and original compositions.

  • Use chants and songs relative to spelling, project goals, or other objectives that, when played with a rhythm, can teach how to ‘chunk’ words, how to remember processes, and learn new information.

  • Encounter classic literature that has been ‘fractured’ or recreated by Atumpan Edutainment to incorporate themes, trends, and technology that makes these stories culturally relevant to today’s adults and youth.

  • Engage in call-response story listening (auditory learning), story building (writing skills), and story adventure ballets (learning by movement) to reinforce work-life routines, community building, and classroom lessons.
