SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2017:  Platinum Party  Atumpan Edutainment's 20th Year Kickoff with food and friends.  A video documentary from guest input and a preview of ACT Dance Theatre's latest production included.  It's a private party in Portsmouth, so invitations are necessary. 

SATURDAY, November 18, 2017:  Fall Dance Hall & Workshops Improv, African dance, and vocal experimentation culminates in a presentation at the Selden Market, downtown Norfolk, VA 23510 sponsored by Food Clothing and Shelter Cultural Market.

SUMMER 2018

SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2018:  End of the season Celebration at the Doubletree Hotel in Williamsburg, VA with ACT Dance Theatre performing as part of the celebration 

Wednesdays July 11 & 18, Aug 8 & 15, 2018:  Family Fun at the Fred *Local performers edutain with Atumpan at the Fred Heutte Center in Ghent. 1000 Botetourt Gardens Norfolk, VA

Tuesday, DECEMBER 26, 2017:  Harambe for the Holidays Kwanzaa celebration at the Attucks Theater. Traditional folklore comes to life in an original show by Corey the Talented Blind Guy full of music, songs, dance and characters that celebrate the principles of the season  FREE FAMILY FUN CLICK TO AUDITION

SATURDAY, January 20, 2018:  Wine Cabaret Series (7:00 pm) celebrating 20 years with ACT Dance Theatre, red carpet photos, fine cuisine, live entertainment, and evening flair at the Hugh R. Copeland Center  11:00am-2:00pm at 112 W. Wilson Rd. Norfolk, VA 23510.

MARCH-JUNE 2018:  WorldStrides Tour Season in Williamsburg, VA with edutaining and interactive music history for middle and high school students traveling from the West Coast, Midwest, and Atlantic states of the US.

OCTOBER 2017-JUNE 2018:  Festival Season  ACT Dance Theatre performs original works across the mid-Atlantic region at numerous festivals.  Whole foods in rehearsals fuel the team for an energetic season from the Fall Festival of Folklife in Newport News to the Candlelight weekends in New Bern, NC to CaribFest in Norfolk, VA.

  • Partnership between Atumpan Edutainment and the Hurrah Players
